Description
The year is 1989 and Ethiopia is torn by a civil war. Mina lives with her family in a secluded area and spends precious quiet moments under a fig tree with her childhood friend, Eli. When her Jewish family finds a way to leave and find shelter in Israel, Mina cannot bear leaving Eli behind. She decides to challenge the laws of war. The film was shot on location in Ethiopia, where the filmmaker, Aäläm-Wärqe Davidian’s, was born.
