Description
Featuring vocals by Kunya Rowley and storytelling by Caren Schnur Neile. KCJO and guests will perform a soulful mix of cantorial melodies known as ‘nusach’ and High Holiday melodies for the Jewish New Year, co-mingled with American jazz, Blues, Negro Spirituals and old world Klezmer. Songs will include “Avinu Malkeynu” made popular by singer Barbara Streisand; “Rosh Hashana Swing,” “Chassidic Kaddish,” “Kol Nidrei Blues” and “Oseh Shalom Salsa,” “Boogie Woogie Nigun by the Shlomo Carlbach," and more.
