Description
A Nurse's Choice is a dramatic staged reading presented by the Words... Alive! It is based on the bestselling historical fiction novel The Light of Luna Park by Addison Armstrong. The Light of Luna Park explores the little-known history of Coney Island's incubator exhibits in the 1920s. The story takes place in 1926 New York City and centers on Nurse Althea Anderson, who must make agonizing choices regarding medical ethics, morality, and loyalty to save a premature infant. Words ... Alive! is an acclaimed South Florida theatrical troupe specializing in the tradition of Reader's Theater. Founded by Eunice Bernard and Carol Clarke Geshlider, the program brings best-selling literature, historical biographies, and famous figures to life through staged readings of original scripts.
